En un post anterior en inglés explicaba la dificultad que había supuesto para mí la pérdida súbita de vista por la presbicia  ( Senses- Sight ). Y quise investigar un poco cómo vemos. Clicad en la imagen para una sucinta explicación de cómo funciona el sentido de la vista.   ¿De quién son estos ojos que os miran? Y aquí tenéis un video, de una serie llamada Ciencia Divertida, muy claro:   El aspecto más interesante para mí es que hay dos nervios ópticos, uno por cada ojo. Las imágenes captadas por el ojo izquierdo llegan al hemisferio derecho del cerebro; las captadas por el ojo derecho llegan al hemisferio izquierdo .    Con ambas imágenes, el cerebro elabora la imagen definitiva. Esta imagen es estereoscópica (en relieve) gracias a que nuestra visión es binocular (dos ojos), lo que nos permite estimar distancias.   Pero, ¿puede alguien no tener visión estereoscópica?    La respuesta en mi próxim...

A year ago I bought my first pair of glasses that were not sunglasses because I was losing sight and couldn't read the tiniest writing I was used to reading all my life, like when you buy something at the chemist's and you're curious about where it was produced. And, all of a sudden, I couldn't see it anymore. Sight had only given me a little problem before, when I took up photography. Once I was using what was then a modern camera, property of my uncle, and I couldn't focus on the tiny red numbers on the right inside the viewer, showing the 28- 56- 128- 256 angle lenses. So, sight was the sense I never had to worry about. I just assumed it would be there in the same shape forever.
